Robersonville operates under the council-manager form of government. The mayor and one council member are elected at large on a non-partisan basis for a four-year term. Four council members are elected from two districts on a four-year non-partisan term. A professional manager is employed to administer the operation of the town, while seven department heads assist the Manager.
